WordPress Developer with Laravel and ReactJS Skills | About Andrei Josanu

I’m Andrei Josanu, a full-stack WordPress developer from Moldova with 8+ years of experience. I’ve spent maybe too much time in WordPress, building custom themes, plugins, and scalable solutions — while sometimes still feeling like a junior learning something new.

I still remember my very first “Hello World” — back when writing a single line of PHP felt like hacking the Matrix. Truth be told, my very first language wasn’t PHP at all, but Blaise Pascal. (Yes, it was still being taught at the time — I promise I didn’t pick it out of passion.) Then came Python, which I learned without having the slightest clue it would one day become a superstar.

Like many developers of my generation, I stumbled into the world of CMS platforms. Joomla! was my first serious playground, and I actually admired its MVC-based core. But whether I liked it or not, WordPress became the popular kid at school. At first, I resisted — I couldn’t understand why everyone was obsessed with it. And yet, one day I looked back and realized: I had been working with WordPress for years. Maybe too many years. Let’s just say we’ve spent more time together than some couples do.

Do I love WordPress? Not exactly. Do I respect it? Absolutely.

WordPress for wpforpro

It powers an incredible portion of the web, and if you know how to use it properly — without drowning in visual builders and bloated plugins — it can work miracles. That’s the part I care about: stripping away the fluff and building clean, fast, future-proof solutions.

Over the years, I’ve gone from tinkering with simple sites to leading complex projects — custom themes, plugins, WooCommerce stores, APIs, Gutenberg blocks, even Laravel integrations. I’ve also worn the hats of project manager, team lead, firefighter (bug fixer at 3 AM), and sometimes the guy who says “No, Elementor is not the solution” — which, believe me, is a role in itself.

These days, I like to think of myself as a full-stack WordPress engineer who occasionally escapes into ReactJS and Laravel for sanity. Truth be told, I still feel like a junior more often than I’d like to admit — because every new project comes with a fresh set of challenges that remind me how much there’s always left to learn. I enjoy solving the tough problems: reorganizing messy codebases, fixing “impossible” bugs, or making a bloated site load like lightning.

So, that’s me in a nutshell: a developer who’s spent perhaps too much time in the WordPress universe, but came out with enough experience, scars, and funny stories to share on this blog (you can read more about why I created it here).
